Where clarity becomes culture.
Every engagement at Define London follows a structured, founder-led process designed to move from ambiguity to clarity, and from clarity to a brand system that performs commercially.
We do not begin with aesthetics. We begin with understanding. Only when the strategy is agreed do we translate it into visual language, digital experience, and brand application
Most engagements move through four phases in sequence. Each phase has defined deliverables, checkpoints, and outcomes. Nothing is produced without strategic rationale..
Phase 01: Discovery & Strategy
Indicated Duration: 2 to 6 weeks (timelines can be adjusted to meet project requirements)
The foundation. We work to understand your business, your audience, your competitive landscape, and the commercial outcomes the brand must deliver.
What happens:
Stakeholder workshops and interviews
Market and competitive analysis
Audience research and segmentation
Brand positioning and messaging framework
Brand architecture decisions
What you receive:
Strategic positioning document
Audience definition and messaging pillars
Competitive landscape map
Recommended identity direction
The principle: No design begins until the strategy is agreed. This is non-negotiable. The strategy document is the brief for everything that follows.
Phase 02: Identity Design
Indicated Duration: 4 to 8 weeks (timelines can be adjusted to meet project requirements)
The visual translation. Strategy becomes a system: logo, typography, colour, composition, photography direction, and the rules that hold them together.
What happens:
Concept development (2 to 3 strategic directions)
Refinement and systematisation of the selected direction
Full visual identity system design
Brand guidelines documentation
What you receive:
Logo system and variations
Typographic system
Colour system
Photographic and art direction guidelines
Comprehensive brand guidelines document
The principle: The identity is not a logo. It is a system. A system that any team, agency, or partner can execute from without losing coherence.
Phase 03: Digital Experience
Duration: 10 to 12 weeks (timelines can be adjusted to meet project requirements)
The brand meets its audience. Website strategy, information architecture, UX/UI design, and implementation that translates identity into an effective digital experience.
What happens:
Website strategy and information architecture
UX/UI design across key templates
Development and implementation
Content strategy and copy direction
What you receive:
Fully designed and developed website
Responsive templates
Content management system setup
Handover documentation
The principle: Digital is not a brochure. It is the first brand experience for most of your audience. It must perform as well as it looks.
Phase 04: Brand Application
Duration: 4 to 8 weeks (timelines can be adjusted to meet project requirements)
The brand lives everywhere. Guidelines, templates, presentations, brochures, campaign assets, packaging, signage, and environmental design.
What happens:
Application of the identity across all required touchpoints
Template creation for ongoing use
Campaign and launch support
Partner and vendor guidelines
What you receive:
Production-ready assets across all surfaces
Editable templates for internal teams
Launch campaign materials (where scoped)
Ongoing application guidelines
The principle: The brand is only as strong as its weakest touchpoint. We design for the edges, not just the centre.
How Engagements Work
Founder-led. Every project is led directly by Define London's founder. You are not handed to a junior team after the pitch.
Scoped to outcomes. We do not offer templated packages. Every engagement is scoped to your business, your competitive context, and the commercial results you need to achieve.
Sequential, not simultaneous. Phases follow a logical order. Strategy informs design. Design informs digital. Digital informs application. Skipping steps creates rework.
Checkpoint-driven. Each phase ends with a review and sign-off. We do not proceed until alignment is confirmed. This prevents expensive course corrections later.
Sectors We Work With
Property and real estate, hospitality, fashion and jewellery, health and wellness, financial services. Sectors where presentation, credibility, and distinction directly affect pricing power and audience selection.
